The Health Care Waste Forum Southern Africa is a non-profit member-based organisation open to all stakeholders of the Medical and Health Care Waste industry. The Forum was established from the Health Care Waste Interest Group, founded in 2000 under the auspices of the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa and now forms part of its branch structure. We provide a modern a strategic forum for the dissemination of information to the Health Care Waste Industry in Southern Africa while showcasing the latest products, services, technologies, regulation and legislation. The forum also serves as modern strategic communication platform for the healthcare waste management sector in Southern Africa in order for members to share experiences in best practice management.

Do you provide medical related services without an understanding of the prescribed policies and regulation when it comes to medical waste disposal?

On the 16 and 17th of May 2011 the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa will hosts its 2nd Biennial Health Care Waste Summit and Expo 2011 in Johannesburg, Gauteng in an effort to promote awareness on environmental laws for medical waste generators.
